Job DescriptionTitle: Equipment Maintenance TM Team: AdminExempt status: Non Exempt Category: BC1Reports to: Store Team Leader Job Code: S022General SummaryThe Equipment Maintenance Team Member provides general maintenance of a Whole Foods Marketfacility including painting, various carpentry projects, and other general maintenance projects, usingsmall power tools and hand tools as well as acting as store contact for professional equipment serviceproviders.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains inventory of light bulbs and ceiling tiles, and changes all bulbs and tiles as needed.
Maintains accurate journal of equipment serviced, including service provider, date, and other pertinent information.
Acts as store contact for service vendors, scheduling appointments as approved by Store Leadership.
Performs preventative maintenance as needed.
Make sure the customers are being taken care of and the store looks great at all times.
Keep all work areas clean and ensure facility cleanliness in all common areas and exterior.
Follow and comply with established procedures, including regulatory compliance, health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices.
Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.

Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.

Ability to work independently yet have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members and Store Leadership
Knowledgeably communicate with service vendors.
Ability to understand building maintenance needs.
Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Knowledge of facility repair work and ability to use resources to find answers on maintenance.
Ability to perform physical requirements of position.
Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
Use of box cutters.
Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
Exposure to temperature variations and wet conditions.
May walk and work on uneven surfaces.
Requires reaching above and below shoulder height.
Some exposure to dust, gas, fumes and chemicals.
Repetitive use of hands with power grasping and fine manipulation.
May need to use a ladder or stool to reach product or supplies.
Exposure to continuous background and occasional loud noises.
Walking surfaces are sometimes slick.
Repetitive stretching and lifting required.
Any item over 40 pounds requires a team lift.
