Demonstrates service excellence standards in independently performing the following support services: reception and check-in patients; obtain and verify registration and insurance information; collect payments at time of service; schedules appointments; coordinates care with other services; answers phones and provides initial triage; perform other necessary activities to maintain clinic operations.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Some college coursework preferred.
Licensure, Registration, Certification
- If driving is included as a function of the job, maintains a valid Washington Driver’s License and clean record.
Minimum of one year administrative or clerical support required.
Experience in a health care setting preferred.
One year customer service experience required.
Microsoft application skills: Word, Excel and Outlook.
Data entry skills required.
Keyboard skills: 35+ wpm preferred
Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Knowledge of physician practice management systems preferred.
Familiarity with electronic medical records.
Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Ability to sit for up to four hours at a time.
Able to operate a computer.
