The Deployment team in Windows and Devices group is pivotal to bringing up our new hardware, keeping hundreds of millions of Windows devices up to date on the latest set of features and security fixes. Our mission is to ensure that we keep more than 500 million Windows devices up-to-date in a seamless manner, to empower our customers to achieve more by unlocking the latest capabilities, experiences and with the most secure version of Windows.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Principal Lead PM to lead a PM team in close collaboration with our engineering and partner teams across WDG and the industry. You will have direct management and leadership responsibility for a strong team of PMs and will lead the team in defining end-to-end scenarios, to achieve the business goals of seamlessly delivering updates to Windows devices be it Consumer or Enterprise. You must be able to create strategy, must be a great at communication, with a proven ability to execute leveraging cross-group collaboration. The challenge is big and so is the impact you’ll have. We are passionate and focused on changing the way we keep Windows devices up-to-date across the planet.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Electrical Engineering

  • 7+ years Program/Product Management experience

  • 6mo+ directly managing a team of PMs to achieve results, strategic thinking and grow careers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record shipping large scale enterprise software products

  • Ability to innovate at a platform level and drive integrated, end-to-end solutions through the shipping process.

  • Great Cross Divisional Relationship building skills and ability to collaborate with partners to determine the best way to deliver across Windows devices.

  • Ability to pull together technology and expertise from Windows software and hardware partners to drive clarity across teams, agree on dependencies and common goals, and establish long lasting, trusted relationship with partner teams.

  • Great problem solving skills and outstanding drive for results; ability to drive clarity, communicate goals to key stakeholders, and motivate them to execute on time and at a high quality.

  • Self-starter, who proactively identifies problems, proposes solutions, and drives a team to address them.
