Seeking a passionate and driven leader and technology-driven influencer to join our IT organization! As a Senior Manager Cloud Operationsyou will lead the Cloud Competency Center, an advisory organization that is driving cloud strategy for Premera through a Cloud Service Broker model. In the model, you will build and lead a team to facilitate and drive cloud technology strategy, aggregate cloud services, develop and publish cloud integration and customization patterns and practices, and drive the federation of cloud delivery and operations to teams across IT and business partners through community of practice development and training.
What you’ll do:
Drive adoption and implementation of cloud strategies that support long-term growth and sustainability in alignment with corporate objectives.
Evaluate effectiveness of existing and proposed cloud service vendors and processes. Make recommendations to increase alignment with Premera objectives.
Work collaboratively with leaders throughout Premera to identify, design and implement process improvement strategies that enhance cloud capabilities.
Develop and manage systems, processes and staff to support Cloud Competency Center requests, including intake, prioritization, distribution and tracking of reporting requests.
Collaborate with peers and customers to set standards of high quality service, consultation, and product to customers through understanding of business needs and through the development of seamless transition of work processes across departments in the IT division.
Develop and manage relationships throughout the organization to reinforce a culture of service and collaboration. Establish metrics and measure return on investments.
Provide oversight for designated cloud vendors and SaaS providers including review, input and support for contractual negotiations and management of day-to-day operations. Act as primary contact for questions/concerns related to cloud vendor services and agreements.
Continually seek and consider innovative solutions to business problems and apply as relevant in support of the organization's mission, culture and philosophy. Develop best practices and drive the process of creative thinking and solutions. Lead change and adoption of new processes and technologies.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or four (4) years' work experience.
Ten (10) years' experience in IT including the following:
Diverse experience in at least two of the following areas: Application Development, Enterprise Infrastructure, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, IT Service Management, or Program/Project Management delivery.
Experience establishing a cloud delivery model
Two (2) years’ experience managing people including experience managing a team dedicated to cloud technologies.
Prior management experience leading large-scale initiatives.
