Aetna Rx Senior Account Manager in Fife, Washington

Rx Senior Account Manager is expected to develop strong external and internal relationships to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue, membership and earnings objectives for existing customers in assigned business segments, products and geographies.

Fundamental Components:

Achieves individual cross sell, growth/retention targets and customer satisfaction levels. Creates collaborative partnerships with sales to develop a comprehensive growth strategy for assigned book of business that is aligned with customers objectives, financial position and employee benefit strategy while providing cross-sell opportunities and profitable revenue and growth to Aetna. Executes tactical components of the account teams business plan for each customer, including ad-hoc reporting and managing client specific projects Educates customer on Aetna specific policies, product information, and procedures as well as industry issues and related current topics (e.g., HIPAA, health disparities). Accountable for the service experience, developing and managing service plans in the most proactive and strategic manner possible, and finds new and innovate ways to show customers the value of the products and services they have purchased. Takes the lead on management of the integration of clients and Aetnas internal organizations, with full responsibility for ensuring a smooth installation of benefits, changes and programs. May support the sales and renewal process (RFP/RFI, finalist meetings, open enrollment meetings, etc.) May lead department wide projects and mentor account managers


  • 2 years of direct PBM experience and knowledge of Rx claim systems or commensurate experience - Excellent written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills - Strong collaboration skills - fosters trust and works effectively across functional areas to achieve results - Advanced experience with Microsoft desktop tools (PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)


    The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
