PDS Tech Inc Material Handler in Everett, Washington
PDS Tech is seeking a Material Handler for an open position in Everett, WA In your role, you will:
Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Temporary Material Handler will work under general supervision, perform routine manual and administrative duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products.
Maintain files and documentation
Verify goods against shipping documents and authorizations
Prepare goods for shipment according to specifications, equipment characteristics, transportation methods and routes
Receives goods via ERP system (manually or through DSI scanning)
Verify identification and quality of product
Prepare bills of lading
Post weight and shipping charges
Load shipments onto carrier
Maintain inventory of cartons, tapes, crates, clamps, foams and other shipping material
Receive and unpacks goods
Check incoming goods against bills of lading, packaging slips, etc.
Verify nomenclature, identification and quantity
Label materials as required for proper identification
Maintain records of goods received
Reject damaged, excess or misdirected goods
Route materials to inspection stores or other destination
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
MS Office skills
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of organization
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel
The employee occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Prior use operating in JDE World ERP system
Understanding of inventory management system
